The Power of Music: A Celebration of the Handel House at Saint Paul's Chapel, New York

On the afternoon of May 22, 2022, the Handel House Foundation of America and the Gotham Early Music Scene welcomed friends to St. Paul's Chapel in lower Manhattan for a benefit event.  Proceeds from the event supported the restoration campaign of Handel Hendrix House.

The concert was presented by House of Time and Gotham Early Music Scene and performed by House of Time and Soprano Clara Rottsolk. The concert featured selections from Handel’s Ode for St Cecilia’s Day, which he wrote in just nine days in 1739 and a 1734 reworking of Il Pastor Fido, one of the first works he wrote for his London audiences.

We are grateful to our friends at Gotham Early Music Scene who helped make this event possible.
